Men's Ministries

Throughout the Old and New Testaments, men have had the roles of prophets, priests, judges, kings, apostles, evangelist, teachers, and preachers; men are to shepherd and care for God’s people.

Men are still called by God to lead the church and the family in a Godly and spirit-filled manner that honors and submits to Jesus Christ, the Head of the church. For one to be a leader, he must first be a disciple of Jesus Christ. Discipleship and confessing Jesus as the Christ are at the core of how Jesus builds His church (Matt. 16:18).

Green Run Baptist Church takes the teachings of Scripture seriously and believes that discipleship is not a one-time commitment, but is an ongoing daily way of life for followers of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to create opportunities for our men to become disciples who can disciple others and allow the Holy Spirit to use us in God’s plan of redeeming the lost for His Kingdom. Men are called by God to be pivotal in this biblical plan for discipleship in the home and the church.

Opportunities for Men

First Sundays - On the first Sunday night of each month, the men of GRBC gather at the church at 6:00PM. Nathan Hunter and Zachary Wiland are currently teaching through false secular worldviews and false world religions. The purpose of these gatherings is to equip the saints to combat these false views with scripture. Women are also invited to these gatherings.

Saturday Morning Bible Study: The men gather every Saturday morning to exogetically study scripture. Nathan Hunter is teaching through the New Testament.

ABFs - Adult Bible fellowships are bible classes that meet on Sunday morning from 9:00am to 9:50am.

Hearts & Hammers - Every so often, the men of GRBC gather for a morning breakfast and devotion followed by a time of serving and outreach.

Missions - GRBC supports a variety of local and global gospel-centered ministries that offer our men many opportunities to fulfill our purpose of making disciples all over the world.
